Hector Cabrera, 28, of Springfield, is facing potentially decades in prison following his arrest at his Lucerne Road home, authorities said.
Detectives had been monitoring Cabrera long enough to secure a search warrant for his home. On Thursday morning, officers watched as he left his house around 4:45 and then pulled his car over on Wrentham Road, Springfield police said.
They showed him the warrant and drove him back to begin a fruitful search.
Police found —
- 480 grams of cocaine
- Three large bags of marijuana
- 150 bags of heroin.
- 61 oxycontin pills
- More than 460 benzodiazepine pills
- A Heckler & Kosh firearm, a tactical shotgun, and more than 1,000 rounds of ammunition
- More than $97,000 in cash
- Numerous gold and silver bars and coins
Cabrera is charged with —
- Trafficking in cocaine, 200 grams or more
- Possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony (two counts)
- Trafficking heroin/fentanyl 18-36 Grams
- Possession with the intent to distribute a Class A drug
- Possession with the intent to distribute a Class B drug
- Possession with the intent to distribute a Class C drug
- Improper Storage of a Firearm
